It makes a HUGE difference, IMO, what you have on your feet and what top you have on. For example, I started to wonder why I never, ever bought a dress or skirt when I wore socks. Then I discovered that wearing socks made my legs look awful in skirts and dresses, and if I took the socks off while trying on the dress I was far more likely to love it and buy it. Technically, the socks didn't affect the fit of the dress itself one bit, but they changed the look so drastically that I couldn't see past it.</p> <p>That's my long-winded way of saying that I'm not sure anyone can truly remove the bunched up pants and the top you are wearing from the equation of whether you should get the skirt.
