Then I started ordering it and looking for it in stores. This skirt is a nice weight, but so many of their sweaters and shirts are flimsy, and most of their dresses are T-shirt type knits. Over the past year they've swapped out more and more floor space for Madewell collections. Seems that's where the money is. Crew's old charm. I appreciate that they're sourcing their fabrics with an eye to quality, and I love the garment-dyed look. </p> <p>It's been almost half a decade since I bought anything from J Crew (though I've had some luck with Madewell), and much longer than that for the Gap brands.
