I also think you look great. All of your looks really flatter your body. That ATL cardi is great, too. My only suggestion is to perhaps add some more colorful accessories? The red scarf really adds to your outfit, and I think some of your other outfits would benefit from a colorful neclace or scarf as well.

Interesting questions about losing weight. I'm not sure about that. We have been eating out less, which I'm certain would make a difference in terms of how much I eat. But I haven't intentionally been trying to lose weight. I actually think the perceived weight loss is more a function of putting together clothes that are actually meant for my body. (Thank you, Angie and the ylf ladies!)

And Sihaya, thank you for your comment about how far I've come. I definitely feel that. Yesterday I went through a bunch of the pictures I had on my hard drive to put together an outfit inspiration file. I was amazed by how far I've come and how I think I'm honing my style into something that's really me while accentuating figure.

Shiny, that jacket does look great with a skirt. It's how I usually wear it. That's why I was a little unsure about the look with pants.

I'm starting to have more fun with things after having my little meltdown a couple weeks ago. Something is starting to click. I'm looking forward to what comes next.

Such a clever idea, to wear the scarf to cover the flush. Love it.

From what I can see of the jacket in the last photo, it looks great. Wonderful cut for you - accentuates your waist and makes your legs look miles and miles long. And it looks very interesting and like it would be versatile too. Would this jacket work over a floaty skirt for your farmer's market days?

I love the black T-strap shoes and the red fun shoes. And the swapped Jcrew jeans are Killer.

I have the same question as Tara: have you been losing weight? You look great!

The last jacket with the longer shirt works fine. I have the same problem with camis too -- and I have the added bonus of them slipping down too far and having to tug them back up. So unprofessional! I've been thinking about switching to all tanks instead because they are higher and they move around less (most of the time).

I love that tan suit on you, and as a fellow blond I know it's tough to wear tan that doesn't wash you out. The vintage one is also great. The turtleneck dress outfit is my favorite of the week -- love the t-strap shoes with it!

I agree, the khakis are not flattering for you. They make you look frumpy, which you are definitely NOT. I think a skinnier fit would work -- are they maybe just too big for you?

I'll go backwards :)
I think the jacket works with the longer shirt, I actually really like that look personally. It adds interest. I love the way you wore your scarf. The neckline on your Easter outfit looks lovely on you, really highlights your neck and collarbones. I love the ATL cardi, especially with the dress! I don't like the chinos in the first outfit, but I think the cardi looks great there as well.
I have the same cami problem and I can't quite figure out why. I like the idea of sleeveless tanks instead, I just seem to have hard time finding those in non-casual fabrics (like ribbed cotton).

Alecia - great job. My favorites are the first 4 pics - I like them all so much that I can't narrow them down. I love how you've worn the scarf. Looks great on you. Are the trousers in the Anne Klein suit PPL or just the camera angle? I like your farmer's day outfit. I too sometimes have a crooked cami - I notice that it's more common with one brand than another. When I have a built in shelf bra, the cami is more likely to stay put though I still wear a bra underneath it so it can get a bit uncomfortable in the heat.

Alecia: I'm thinking back to your early posts and have to say WOW - you have come a long way and I feel privileged to see the journey you've been on. You look so stylish and suave!

Alecia, the turtleneck dress and cardi is my favorite. I'm not a fan of the pants for the Farmers' market, but I like everythng else.
I wear sleeveless tanks more than camies and don't have problems with them. A higher neckline (higher scoop) on a tank or cami may also help your flushing problem by covering more chest but still allow the V neck over it. Angie's scarf trick looks like a fine solution. Maybe a cool colored scarf like blue or even aqua would do even more to tone down reddness.

Hi Alecia - I like your solution to covering neckline without having to wear a buttoned up woven shirt each day - that would be so boring.
Scarf works well.
I am not an expert but the gray suit (last pic) jacket length seemed right to me.

What other options do you wear on your casual "market" days? A trouser jean might be fun to work in, or a denim skirt?

I've been unable to post lately. I do keep up with everyone, though. Here are a few outfits from the last couple weeks.

http://s508.photobucket.com/al...../MidApril/
password - ylf2009

Farmer's Market - I would like this outfit if the pants fit. I think they have to go. I would like to figure out a few more polished casual looks for farmer's market trips, etc. I'm definitely thinking some dresses are necessary.

Turtleneck dress - I had fun wearing this. I felt saucy. Not sure it looks as good as it felt but I sure had fun that day. You can see I'm getting a TON of use out of that cardi.

Flushing - So I've been having to do a lot of public speaking lately. I do an ok job but I always, without fail, get flushed on my chest & neck. And if I'm up there long enough, it creeps to my ears. With a larger chest, I'm supposed to wear lower necklines. This situation presents a challenge for that rule. With Angie's scarf tying post in mind, I went for an authoritative look that day with the hopes of being smarter than the flush.

Easter - Not much to report here.

Black on black - Does anyone have problems with camis staying straight? This has happened with a couple of mine. On me, they always twist to the right and I end up looking lopsided. You can see this in the picture. I'm not sure what to do about that.

Suited up - Wish you could see the necklace better. It's awesome.

More public speaking - Here's another attempt to cover the flush.

Silhouette - You can't really seem much detail with this picture. But I wanted to ask whether the jacket worked with the pants if I wore that longer length shirt.

As always, thoughts and suggestions appreciated.
