I'm one of those unlucky ones afflicted with plantar facitis (or tendinitis of the feet) so I had to stop wearing ballet flats, heels and sandals that didn't have sturdy soles and back straps. I've gone one whole year without significant pain so I am now trying to move my shoe wardrobe back to something more stylish but still with support.
