Everybody made such great suggestions that I have no new ones to add, but I just
wanted to say that you look great in both photos and that those shapes really suit you.

Oooh I like the all white outfit idea...I have a pair of white trousers and another pair of white linen pants...let me play around with those

And the red shoes idea sounds fab but I don't have a pair of red shoes at the moment! I like the idea of wearing red as a neutral though so will have to buy into a pair.

Orange would be nice as well, but baby steps into colour for me I'll work my way up to it!

Mirah, your suggestions sounded really nice, I like the pink outfit idea as well. Weird, I wear brightly coloured shalwar kameez (traditional pakistani/indian outfits) all the time and yet I don't have as much colour in my "western" wardrobe.

Ilove the yellow ! It looks great with your skin tone. Do you own any white jeans or pants? I'd like to see the yellow jacket with all white outfit, and maybe red shoes?

Bumble Bee outfits are fun! So, I'd do the black, white and yellow com too.

I love the idea of soft orange--like sherberty orange...Mirah, great suggestions!

First outfit is super! You look fab. I like that baby doll top on you. So glad that the green top is richer in colour because it's a sage green on my screen and I'd have preferred a brighter hue on you. Thanks for clarifying that important point.

You look lovely in yellow! I’d pair it with a white top and you shan’t look like a bumble bee. Black, navy and grey are other good options. How about white pants? If you add white pants, a brown top will work. I too LOVE bright yellow with other bright colours like cobalt blue, emerald green, red, orange and fuchsia, but you need to adore brights to wear those combinations and it might be a little too much for you to handle at the moment. But we’ll have you wearing them in no time!

If you are not thinking about neutrals then I've tried yellow with a subdued orange(like the papaya shade J.crew has) as well as pink (i'm prolly thinking of a salwaar kameez ) ... maybe with a skirt in one of these colors

I won't look like a bumblebee with the black and the white will I? :)

The colour is beautiful, I guess its just that compared to other items in my closet I don't have anything that's really its equivalent intensity-wise. So to me it looks a bit odd to have it next to, say a black, navy or brown but I'm going to play around with it and try it out. (Hopefully!) it will be warming up here soon but then I won't have as much opportunity to wear it!

I'm going to play around with it and see.

Thanks for the layering comment Maya! I'm very short waisted so I've been doing it for a while since most of the jackets I'm able to find at the stores are quite short. Plus, I really can't tuck in shirts so I've had to experiment with the longer top / shorter jacket quite a bit. The only time it gets to be difficult is with suits but luckily we haven't had to wear them in the last little while for work.

Oh, I can't believe I forgot to add my other two favorite combos:

I wear yellow the most with reds, pinks, and corals. Yellow and fuschia has to be one of my all time favorites. This might be a little too overwhelming for you though, but once you're more comfortable with color it's something to consider.

I love both outfits. You layer your jackets well.

I'm a big fan of black-white-yellow, but it has to be a bright yellow, and yours is definitely bright. I'm not really into brown and yellow myself, but that's personal.

Olive green might work but I'm not sure. I don't wear this color much myself and I have a hard time matching it. Navy would also look beautiful...very summery.

The reason that jacket is so beautiful is because the color is so bright and cheery. I wouldn't try toning it down. I know it might look intense against all your grays and blacks, but I think that's a good thing!

Aisha the first outfit is cute.. your hair is gorgeous btw
As for the yellow jacket..I like yellow with white ..never tried with brown but I'm a fan of yellow and navy combo...and even a olive or safari green will look nice..

I thought of brown and white but I'm not sure if the yellow is too bright? What types of browns would you suggest, the darker chocolate browns or something lighter?

Aisha, I have that sweater jacket in navy (so does Dani) and I love it, it goes with lots of things. I've seen the yellow version in person as well, and the color is lovely. It's a very warm bright yellow. Try pairing it with black and white, or brown and white. If you're not used to wearing a lot of color, let the jacket be the star and keep the rest of your outfit more clean and subdued.

So here is my outfit for today.

The navy blazer is from JCrew, I think its the Corrine Jacket and I absolutely love it! Its still cool here so I'm getting a lot of use out of it.

The green sweater didn't come out as bright in pictures as it is in person...its a true kelly green in person.

The green sweater is an empire waist short sleeved sweater with banding under the bust line. At first I wasn't sure of the banding (I was worried it would make me look pregnant) but I think I am liking it under the Corrine jacket.

I'm wearing a pair of leapard print ballet flats with it under my skinny jeans.

I have this sweater jacket in the deep yellow as well and haven't worn it yet...I'm not sure what to pair it with?? I'm attaching a pic of me with the yellow jacket as well, I'm open to any styling suggestions!!

The yellow is really really bright (almost a highlighter yellow) and while I like it, I'd like to tone it down a bit. Its a bit too much colour for somebody with a primarily black/grey/navy wardrobe although I am trying to get away from that!

Pic for today : http://i295.photobucket.com/al.....ursday.jpg

Pic with Yellow Corrine Jacket
http://i295.photobucket.com/al.....jacket.jpg

Thanks again!
