Plus, it will complement plum and eggplant. They are long enough, and they don't feel too narrow. I was trying them on without socks in the evening, when I was having second thoughts. I ordered the 40.5, but am trading up to a 41. The 40.5 were snug in the width for sure and a tiny bit short. They are my first agl's though. It felt good in the store. I was just debating yesterday whether I need to size up to a 38. (This happens to me a lot with shoes--I get them home and feel like they are tight.
