Echo - I had a pair of slashed booties and I wore them all seasons except winter during snow. I did put same color socks underneath and never thought twice about it. Gorgeous booties. I wish I could wear a heel that high. They are totally fabulous!

I love the look of these boots, and can see why they are tempting. If you are happy to wear pumps in winter, I don't see why these will not work for you. I see these as being able to be styled with winter clothing, it is just that the openness will not be as warm as regular boots or provide coverage for your feet in the rain. I would wear the light colour with nude hosiery only, so that does limit your choices, however the light tan is my favourite colour and it is likely to have a leg lengthening effect, similar to wearing nude pumps.

I've not tried them but they are nice looking booties. And ditto what Suz said about the heel.

I've always been perplexed by the booties with cut outs. I prefer them without socks so since I live in four seasons for me these would be early fall and late spring or the unusual cool summer days/nights. But, I think if you went with the darker pair you can do a darker sock or tight underneath and it wouldn't look off. Angie wears nude hose/trouser socks for insulation so that would work to help extend the wear into cooler temps if you prefer the look of skin only.

I have some that I wear colorful tights/socks with and also do nudes with. I wear mine probably 7 months a year.

Nice looking booties! To me they would not be for fall/winter wear but I live in an extreme climate. They'd be a transitional season item here.

The heel could be 3 inches but it is sloped like the heel on the EF Tildas I just bought. This makes it very stable and it feels lower.

Echo....fab booties (added the find )....don't know where you live, but where i live (i call it the gate way to the mid west)...i'd wear this at least until end of Sept---but in the past couple of years its been warm enough that i could probably wear thru the end of Oct....and than start again in March....(execpt this year, when it didn't get warm until April, but i could have worn this thru Nov, becuase it didnt get cold unti Dec....climate change is making wardrobe management a challenge! LOL)

I think it depends on climate and how funky you’re willing to go. Angie’s trick of double nylons works for me well for colder temps (but we don’t get lower than freezing here and never any snow to speak of).

I have a couple pairs of perforatedbooties and Love the look. But I wear them only in summer (nude booties with nude leg) or transitional season (with low socks inside). In winter the foot gets too cold even with socks. But it may depend on your climate.

Oh, no, I was afraid this might be the case. Are perforated booties just for transitional seasons? I cannot justify buying them if they cannot be worn through the winter (though obviously indoors and not as snow boots).

Theyre pretty but look like a transitional shoe to me, too hot for summer too cold for winter. 50-60 degrees ish. Id wear with nude to me socks, so the texture shows, but still have warmth. Doesn't look like 3 inch heel at all, maybe 2.

I am interested in the Coconuts by Matisse Walk On perforated booties. If I purchased them, I'd likely buy them in the grey. But my real question is HOW to wear them. I could probably wear them with black tights that would create a low contrast between the boot and foot/leg, but is a person supposed to wear contrasting tights or socks? Or are they only spring and summer shoes that I'd look ridiculous wearing in the fall/winter anyway? I'm willing to go higher contrast, I'm just not sure how.

Additionally, has anyone tried these on? They say they're a 3" heel, but they look lower than many others that are listed as lower. Are they comfortable? Generous or tight fit at the ankle?

Again, I tried to use the YLF Collect, but it STILL doesn't work for me. It tells me I Need to be logged into YLF, which I am. So I've attached a picture instead.
