There are lots of lovely Fair Isle sweaters out there. Why not get one of those, grin and nod gracefully if anyone at the party calls it “ugly” as a compliment, and enjoy wearing it non-ironically in the future?</p> <p>ETA. I would do as Janet suggests although you may end up spending more. You might just throw on a reindeer antler head band or Santa hat and ornament earrings. You could spray your hair red and green. Remember, these are ugly sweaters. If you can borrow something that is oversized, go for it.<br /> Target usually carries some Christmas themed tee shirts. Look in men's and children's as well as women's. Walk though a Hobby Lobby for inspiration.
