Angie, I didn't see the blue denim, will have to look again. The store was REALLY crowded as there was a big sale. About tucking into boots....er...that would require boots....Do you recommend boots for balancing my hips?

Also, would you recommend the same brands that you recommended to Goldenpig? (Page Premium "Hidden Hills", Hudson jeans (try a few of their styles),Kut from the Kloth skinnies, CoH "Amber cuts,)? Thanks!

Good job trying skinnies, Isis!

The black does look better in the photo. I like those on you if you tuck them into boots. Fabrics can have a different effect. Did you try the blue denim?

Modgrl, Nope didn't try the jeggings. Too much of a leap for me, I fear; these are the first skinnies I've tried! Thanks for the VPL tip though; boy shorts sound like a great idea!

Sveta, Interesting that the wrinkles in #2 might be too high of rise. Thanks for pointing that out; I'm really clueless and really appreciate knowing exactly what to look for. I definitely will try more brands for a better fit!

I don't mind wrinkling on the back (mine always do anyway) but they seem to be too long in the rise in front - see all these wrinkes in #2? I would look for a better fit even though it can be tedious

Did you try the jeggings? They might have more stretch and fit you better at the thighs. I don't mind them as is if you are wearing them with a tunic.

Try to find no VPL undies though. I tried the Shimera boy shorts recently. They are beloved here on YLF. They work ok on my shape but definately serve their no VPL purpose.

Suz--I'm going to try pulling them down but I suspect they will crunch back up.

GP- Thanks for the compliment (my family would be REALLY worried about me collecting compliments about my behind from "strangers" on the web!) The fact that yours are doing the same wrinkley thing makes me think it's the fabric, which is thin but sort of stiff. The fabric might become more supple with washing....hmmmmm.....let me know if you wash yours. I'm still not sure about keeping these.

Denise-- I think better fit in black might be because black is hard to photograph so you don't see the same wrinkles.....But I'll have to check......Thanks for the advice!!!!

What Suz said about pulling the jeans down.

They appear to fit better in black. The grey jeans look a little big. Sometimes that happens with black garments. For example, I have noticed that the same bra in black will be a touch smaller than in beige. Apparently all of the dye in black makes garments a little smaller.

Are they comfortable-loose, or comfortable-tight? My first impression is that maybe they might be too big, but it's kind of hard to tell because sometimes when they're too tight they can pull in the crotch too. Also, I don't think I got any positive comments on these on my thread either (I bought the black and grey too), so maybe it's because the material is too thick so it lumps? Mine is doing that too. I'm still debating on mine.

And ITA about the behind pics (yours is lovely by the way!) Previously if someone told me pics of my muffin top were going up on the internet I would have thought they were blackmailing me, and now I'm voluntarily doing it to myself! LOL!!!

What happens if you tug them down at the bottom and adjust the scrunch? It is possible they may be too long for you (an easy fix). Or they may simply need that adjustment to work with a little more bottom scrunch. I like them in the black (so far).

LOL about the bum pics. My daughter (who took my photos) was in hysterics. "Mum, you're not really going to SHOW people that, are you???"

Following the lead of Suz and GP, I also went to the Gap sale tomorrow. I was on the hunt for straight or skinny jeans, and I took home these. They feel comfortable. But now that I see the pictures, I notice wrinkles in the back of the thighs (see #4). Should I be looking for something more smooth? Does this mean that they are too small or too big? Would straights be better? I have full thighs and a full behind.

These are Gap textural high-rise skinnies, in grey. They are like sort of very thin-wale cords.

#1 is how I would wear them, with a voluminous top. #2-#5 are to show fit; #6 are the same jeans in black.

My family is downstairs. If they knew I was upstairs posting pictures of my behind on the internet, they would have me committed!
