Anglie and Suz    shoes.   I have a beAUTIFUL PAIR OF Rebecca Minkoff  booties and I was only thinking of the pointed toes when I pulled them .(hadn't worn or seen them for almost two years now)  bright white as in the pants.  However, they scream western, the dark western cut heel, the etching on toe.  So, I am thinking no to them.  I have on now (never worn)bought last year, Treasure  and Bond booties, more of a linen color white like the tops.  1 inch brownish stacked heel, pointy toe with lattice strips in body of it.  I have plain white sneakers.  I have the hi-top sneaker from last season. I know it is finds, not mine, but I think Angie and oathers of you have them..  Dolce Vita , zip sides, leopard tongue, and a couple of rose gold strips on side, silver and rose gold on heel.  I think they may be better suited for younger people.  Pretty fancy but I have them and have worn them.  But I want to go with what is most appropriate .   Oh, and I do have a pair of well worn great loafers, comfortable, good standbys.  I will clean them thoroughly and be happy to wear them. Suz and all, I am going to TJMAXX now to look at white bags.  I f I don;t come up with one I am thinking of a round bag (TALBOTS) It is shoulder , dark denim with the tannish center. maybe called raffia, hope you all get the idea.  I have another nice round one all pink, tan straps.  My nails are pink.  And If I don't wear the necklace I most likely will wear the pink ring.  If I don't wear the blue necklace I will be a little more wild with rings.  That used to be be my signature, probably outdated, but that is one area where I have confidence, but I still want to know what you people think. I am sorry to keep reminding you people who know my age but for some who might not, I am now 87.   I also repeat, I'm not trying to look younger, that is silly. But I do  want to look nice and presentable and like I care. If you feel that the top is too sheer to wear without a layer underneath, a camisole is likely to be your best bet. I like Uniqlo's camisoles as they are well priced, cool to wear and come in a range of useful colours. This is a lunch - but given you plan to stay up all night, I would take a sweater, wrap and/or a denim jacket to pop on in case the temperature drops. Also consider if you need sun protection? When out in summer, I throw a sunhat and sunscreen into my bag in case I am out in the sun and my denim jacket in case the wind picks up or it cools down. Most of the time I don't need them, but it is always handy to be prepared. You could wear those in a refined and dressy way, with perfectly matched pieces (paisley lace? Your comments already is helping me pull this together already and I will add a few more ideas that came to mind with each piece you have mentioned, when I tried everything on here by myself.  That will eliminate the 50 million thoughts I had at that time.  Carol S.  Thanks for your instant approval on the pants, especially.  That is a big start solved.  I do like the rolled cuff, and everything about them. A few comments on the tops.  This is beside the point, but I like both he tops so much, that I will probably keep both of them.  The one in finds has a lot more going on.  HOWEVER, the sleeves fit so nicely and that is true of both.  As you see, the one pictured has a lot of details in front but I swear that lace appears to be pAISLEY as in the pants.  And there is a lot going on in that top, yet very tastfeful, I think.  And most definetely will need a shell, tank or something underneath.  So, CAT2, this is where the T comes into play.  And I am a person who has NO decent T's, don't like them and don't wear them.  LOL.   .I was thinking maybe I could leave top unbuttoned and wear T under it.  The necklace lays better on  T than top alone buttoned.  A con on this, the T is V neck and I love V neck but it does appear a little junky with that top pictured and the V neck and the necklace.  While the Top fits me perfectly, I think,-- I will describe it as  what we used.  to wear and call it a shrunken jacket style or a mini bomber . Now a brief description of other top, I mentioned buttons down back, and slightly flowy in front and Demands the necklace I plan to wear.  On the one hand, I think it looks very summery and flowy.  On the other hand, what we see all the time, a top pulled on over pants.  Although I would not pull this on just to go grocery shopping, neither would I pull on an awful lot of what I see "just pulled on".  silly.  But serious again. Enjoy your outing!!! bridgie on "Advice" https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/advice-4#post-2207575 Sun, 04 Jul 2021 20:32:17 +0000 bridgie 2207575@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ Hi, Happy Fourth of July.  I am invited to a small, casual lunch early next week.   Need advice, suggestions, anything.   I just happen to have a pair of pants from Talbots, and a top from Nordies in finds.  I also have a top from Talbots, white linen, buttons down back, and a short sleeve T from Talbots in same group, therefore blue as in pants.  A beautiful shade of blue and summery looking to my eye.  The only cons, the pants are too long for full length, but have rolled them to ankle length and like them that way.  The two tops are see thru, but we all have to accept that or not  as we choose.  LOL.  Will you take it from there , tell me what you might do with what I am working with, what you might suggest to me (nothing is too harsh, go for it) or ask any question you want to.  I have plenty of other things to work with but this is the newest. I want to dress classic, feminine,"look pretty",  clothes would have to do that, and of course polished. I have a long necklace, pearls with small silver between each one and a beautiful pendant on end, blue stones that look like the blues in the pants, will most likely wear one pearl bracelet and one to three rings.Do not wear earrings now.  Hair covers ears. Wish I could send pics, but can't.   Thank you, Love you  PS Just since pandemic I went from redhead to silver and grey hair.
