I had a really short jet lagged business trip to Copenhagen and all I remember is almost getting run over when I tried to do my morning walk in what turned out to be a dedicated bike lane, and lots of salmon. The differences in grooming and cosmetics are so interesting. I seriously miss the food. So much delicious fish and bread; I have never had such good bread anywhere else. We didn't get to Aarhus, which is a life goal as it has one of the most famous libraries (to librarians) in the world.I have to visit the library wherever I go!</p> <p>Here is a snap of my son perched in one of the Rundetaarn's niches. That was one of my favorite visits, including the fantastic gallery at the top.&nbsp;</p> <p>I also loved the relatively few cars on the road and how fit everyone looked. I remember thinking that everyone wore their pants really tight to show off their biking muscles! And lots of fabulous knitwear. It was a wonderful, low stress family vacation.<br /><b>The Cat</b> - The canal tour you suggested was fabulous, but so was everything else. I didn't even mention the day we rented bikes and rode to Reffen (street food market), or the evening in Tivoli Gardens (amusement park inside the city). And the castles...<br /><b>Angie</b> - My hair was particularly voluminous that day due to the light rain. Next time we meet we should go out for porridge !</p> <p>Regarding my thrift finds, I had very little packing room so had to restrain myself. After checking out a great variety of shops, the best for our purposes were the Blue Cross charity shop and the Danmission Op Shop. My daughters found a few things and I found an Annette Gortz short jacket.
