Debora, Thank you so much for following up! incidentally, I read some other reviews elsewhere online where people were commenting on it hugging in the same areas. I think it is a dress for a woman not afraid to emphasize her curves for sure. I think in conclusion I will follow Angie's advice and keep it for a few more weeks. Thank you for following up - oh so helpful as I have no access into a store anywhere close by!

Hi Agrace!

Reporting back as promised! First I wanted to make sure that we are talking about the same sheath. I just realized that NAS has another Adrianna Papell sheath that is pleated. This is the one I tried on:

http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/30.....5&P=1

I did go back today and tried it on in the larger size. The size 8 fit me much better through the waist and hips but was too big through the bust so I decided to pass on it. :(

So, sorry I couldn't give you a more definitive answer. I think I would suggest going with Angie's original advice to hang on to it and return it in winter if it is still too snug. Or, if finances permit, you could order the other size too and then return the one that doesn't fit this winter.

I did end up buying those Jag jeans and also got the gray pearls like San's so today wasn't a total loss. :)

Good luck with your decision!

Oh no. I have this dress on order as well and just ordered my regular size. It's not looking good for me. I'll be watching for your updates, Debora!

Agrace, I'm going to try and run over there tomorrow. I don't recall if they had an eight on the rack. I know they didn't in the gray but maybe there's one in the blue. I wanted to go back anyways and try on the Jag jeans that I think Kari posted about earlier. I'll keep you posted!

Angie, I guess I need to read their return policy then bc that sounds like they have a wonderfully generous one. The Gap and Banana both recently shortened theirs from 90 days to 30 days and caught me by suprise. If I have a few months leverage I would love to keep it till Sept and see how it is fitting then.

The waist fits like a dream, it really is the bum and bust area. I have an hourglass shape with apple tendencies but I dont want what should be a classy dress looking ill-fitting. still would love to hear anyone chime in who has tried this dress on to hear if they found this to be true besides myself and Debora? Debora, if you do try it on in one size up will you let me know if that helped the fit at all? I dont have a nordstroms anywhere nearby. Thank you all!

I wish I had tried it on the next size up. I think I'll go back and try on the 8. I can see getting a lot of wear out of this dress. It looks very versatile.

Angie has a good point. Nordstroms has a very generous return policy.

Didn't Vani get this dress, also?

Yoo hoo Vani?

Yep, had to size up. Usually wear 8P, had to go to 10P for this dress.

Hmmm. I'd hang onto it and return in Winter if it's still too snug.

Agrace, I tried on that sheath in gray and experienced the same thing. I'm usually a size 6 (sometimes even a 4) but this felt just a bit too snug through the hips and waist in the size 6 for me. I was so disappointed because it's a great dress. I have tried on Adrianna Papell dresses before and have found this to be the case in those instances, also. I'd be curious to see if anyone else has experienced this with this brand or is it just maybe those pesky five pounds that I've put on this summer!

Greetings everyone!
I bought my first ever item from the NAS and it is the Adrianna Papell sheath in grey with the deep v neck. I bought a size 8 which is completely my typical size but it is a tad snug in the bust and bum area...should I size up to a 10? Frankly, I'm worried that the 10 will not fit in a year as I'm only 7 months post partum and still have about 5 lbs to go. The 8 *looks* good but I feel it is a tad snug. Advice? I hate to get the 10 when I feel it will be too big by CHristmas. Thanks !
