I have to edit my closet so that I can make a spring appointment to consign. I'm pretty happy with the shop I use, although they can be pretty exacting. I used to take the stuff they didn't want to a lower-end place, but that place has been losing my stuff (and they won't pay you out if they lose your things). So I might just end up donating whatever the main shop doesn't want. Angie, there was a cream Chanel jacket (outwear, not blazer) that would have been perfect on your dainty shoulders.  :) Yay.  If anyone else is hesitating about an appointment like this, be brave.  Or just bite the bullet and get your things off to a favorite charity. Sold only one item of the 8 I took to the fancy vintage place, then the ones I took to “Recycle Boutique” I didn’t have 5 they wanted after the more senior person checked the 5 they initially accepted. It’s like yours, any fewer than 5 no dice. 10 would be impossible! I am going to try one more time this coming season. In the past I have just donated but a couple of these pairs of high heels are almost new! And high quality. It's been a long time since I consigned anything.  Two cities ago, I used to take things to a favorite place where they had tricky rules: they only took anything from you if you had at least ten pieces they wanted.  You brought in 25 items and they only liked nine of them? Nope. Ten or more, or zero.  My new local place seems less fussy but I guess we'll see.
