I can see how the lantern pants and singlet look could move through a variety of registers of formality.</p> <p>I am going to go out on a limb and say that gently unstructured clothes are the key to those go-anywhere looks. By which I mean, not sloppy but also not crisply tailored. For example I think if your LBD were more of a sack style it might be easier to dress it down? I"m wondering if from now on, I should invest more on accessories and less on clothes. I also thought it was an interesting exercise to see what goes with what.&nbsp; In terms of what I would actually wear, the last one and numbers 6 and 7 are safe bets.&nbsp; I was surprised that I really like number 4 and actually plan to wear this to work one day....perhaps with a cardigan or denim jacket.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /><b>@Tanya.</b>&nbsp; I look forward to your take on the challenge.&nbsp; Yes black tank and black pants are a great option, and may even be easier to dress down than this dress which is quite structured.&nbsp; Good point about silk.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /><b>@AndiB</b> - I find it hard to do accessories because I am not a bag person...tend to stick to the same bag, and tend not to think about accessories.&nbsp; The dress is the brand Cue, an Australian/NZ brand.&nbsp; This is a thrifted dress but this would be the sort of dress that they would carry all the time or there would be something similar.&nbsp;<br /><b>@Janet </b>- yes its more versatile than I imagined.&nbsp;<br /><b>@cat2</b>&nbsp; - great idea about the silk pieces.&nbsp; I should probably look into doing that more.&nbsp; I don't have a lot of need for evening wear so it is good to have things that cross over well.&nbsp;<br /><b>@chewyspaghetti</b> - Am looking forward to seeing your slip dress outfits.&nbsp; I love slip dresses but have always been hesitant with the narrow straps and bras etc.&nbsp; Now I have some lace bralettes, I might try them.&nbsp;<br /><b>@ Angie </b>Thank you.&nbsp; Its interesting that you thought number 7 was the most me.&nbsp; I definitely would wear it and would be very comfortable in it.<br />Yes I can see what you mean about a pants suit in a colour other than black.&nbsp; When doing the challenge, I realised it was harder to dress down the black as it seems quite extreme for a day at the beach or in the park...another colour might be easier.&nbsp; &nbsp;<br /><b>@ Mary Beth</b>- thank you.&nbsp; Most of them I would wear.&nbsp; I did find it hard to dress casually so wouldn't wear the first two unless I was stuck somewhere and it was all I had to wear to the park.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /><b>@suntiger</b> - good idea about the clutch and some really fancy sandals. That kind of outfit would work on the beach or a picnic, but it works for a date or even to work, a function or even a cocktail party with the right accessories.&nbsp; It would be the perfect outfit to carry in your pack if you needed to dress to extremes.&nbsp; &nbsp;What do you think can go to extremes?&nbsp;</p>
