I like the idea of a strappy sandal, and I think the right copper tone, or maybe pewter would be great with this dress. Also consider snakeskin or animal print. Although your shoes and belt don't have to be matchy-matchy, I would still figure out the belt first because it will show more than your shoes. Then you can coordinate shoes that work with belt and dress.
