For some it's waist definition, for others it might be leg lengthening. I have short legs but lengthening their look has never been my first priority. My DD won't be caught dead in capris because lengthening her leg line is super important to her. We all get to choose what's important to us.</p> <p>I just bought a pair of just-above-the-ankle brushed twill pants in a lovely coral color. We may call them different things, and they may come just above the ankle, an inch or two above the ankle bone, mid-shin or just below the knee. The volume on them also varies by season and style, from full gaucho styles to straight crop styles to tapered and close to the leg.&nbsp;But shorter pants will never go away.
