You are right - they are straight legs. Sorry about that non-solution :(. I do think it's a matter of playing with the proportions...I like the layering effect. If it is two layers and not a color blocked sweater, perhaps a longer layer under the cropped sweater?

Hmmm, I was thinking that the pants in #4 WERE straight legs - what are they? They're these, by the way:

http://www.zara.com/webapp/wcs.....20TROUSERS

Although I admit that on me they look nothing like they look on the model.

Like the others, # 3 is my favorite. For #4, I wonder if it might help to wear a narrower trouser (skinnies or straight legs)...

I agree about #4, the proportions are off.

I really like #3, a nice relaxed look. #1 too.

#2 is hard to make out because of the daylit window in the background.

#5 is lovely, well the top and the pants together anyway. I have a poison eye for furry vests, so there's no pleasing me on that score, but that's just me.

1,3, and 5 are my faves. I love the voluminous over skinny look in 1. 3 is just a perfect casual, on the go outfit. Love how it looks RATE yet refined. #5 is awesome--I'm going to have to try my furry friend over stripes. I even have burgundy skinnies! I don't think #4 is bad at all. Is it a short layer over long or is it a color blocked sweater? Great week

#4 I regretted as soon as I got to work - just felt awkward.

#1 and #2 are in a hotel room, not my house! A very ugly hotel room at that. The tights in #2 are supposed to be sheer but they're awfully opaque - I usually buy a size bigger than it says I need on the package, but I guess that doesn't work so well for sheers.

Help welcome!
