We keep a rolling rack in the garage to hang clothes to air dry - our laundry room is too small for that. Like Murph11, we have moved it to the bedroom and used it to assemble travel wardrobes for a couple of long trips where packing light was particlarly important. If I also had a closet I'd love to try your idea of pulling out a capsule of favorites on one rack. Maybe that would let me cull my wardrobe back to the essentials. Yours looks so curated! While I don't do this exact trick, I do have a visual arrangement of clothes in a tight color and pattern palette, and that definitely influences my thinking about potential purchases (that is, does it cohere?) Maybe it ends up being unnecessarily restrictive, but it has definitely helped me cull and limit new items to a cohesive palette. </p>
