In 6th grade it was Simpsons shirts. I remember one Field Day I counted and half the boys in the class were wearing them. Then it was Gap hooded pullovers made of tshirt-weight cotton. It felt like&nbsp;every girl in my class owned one (I saved up for my own, in lavender).&nbsp;Gap started selling those again this year, 25 years later, and it was so funny to see them!</p> <p>I haven't been around middle-school-aged kids in years, but I would have guessed&nbsp;that sort of adolescent lemming behavior is still there. Probably adults are just less prone to it, and older teens have more sense of their own individual style. Even for kids I&nbsp;don't feel like trends are quite so specific any more? It's not, for example, just "long v-neck jumpers."</p> <p>Except one thing - I'm still the only person IRL I've seen wearing one. </p> <p>I just ask because I'm trendy at heart and I need a fashion trend like the sartorial-version of Rubik's Cube or Candy Crush. Hehe. Except I'm serious. </p>
