Nice job, Anne! With this taper, they will look nice hemmed as Angie suggests. I'm envisioning that they would just cover your ankles, perhaps. I have jeans that length, and then I turn them up to wear with oxfords (so that my ankle shows), or I tuck them into booties or tall boots.

These look great, I can see you getting much more wear out of them now that they have such a flattering fit.

Love them tapered. I would think the length sort of depends on the shoes you would wear.

Fashiontern, no I just sewed a new seam from the around the knees.

RL - I just googled "how to taper jeans" and found some instructions. Not that I really needed to, (I did it in 1989 without the internet!) I just like the extra confirmation

Can you roll or fold them up to a cropped length without too much bulk? I run cold, so I like to have my jeans warming my ankles during the winter months. . .Of course a hem is dressier than folds.

I'm impressed. Did you have to take off the waistband to alter the angle at which the two pieces of fabric come together, or do you just sew a new seam and cut off the excess?

I tapered the jeans that were the subject of a recent post https://youlookfab.com/welookf.....hite-jeans, and I am happy with the results. Impressed DD 14 too!

ETA. I have not hemmed it properly, just cut off a little. Would like to read your opinions on length.
