thanks ladies for the help. Elle, no I am not looking for roomier. Just replacing blazers after losing weight so the old ones tend to be big.

The one in 3 looks more like the one you want to replace & I prefer it. The fit in 2 looks more like your old one though. Are you looking for a roomier style?

I vote for the blazer in #2. I like the nipped waist and shorter length. I see more of your shape with this piece. I also think this version will work well remixed with a top tucked into a skirt. For the longer blazer, it looks a bit mroe boxy and I think it would be a trouser/jean only blazer.

I also really prefer the Gant striped blazer and think it looks great on you. I see no need for changes. Wear and enjoy.

I like the Gant one too. The tailoring looks soft yet structured and the stripes are just so much fun. I'm sure you'll be able to style this in many ways.

You look happier in the vertical stripes. And it seems more similar to the old one. So I would go with that one!

I thought about you too, how strange, must be telepathy I agree with the others I much prefer the vertical stripes and the fit of 2.

Nice to see you Jayne!! I actually thought of you the other day

I like #2 the best. I think the fit and proportions are great. It somehow seems stronger than #3. It sort of frames you better and make you stand out. I like the golden buttons and navy vibe too. And I see *you* in the preppy style.

Thanks for the analysis. Yes, that nipped waist is a good point as is having a collar that pops. I was a little hestitant about going sooooo preppy, but I may have to admit it as part of my evolving style!

Jayne I find that the jacket with the vertical stripes suits you better. I think it fits your style persona better. The popped collar, the gentle shaping at the waist all look really fab on you. The Mango (the horizontal stripe) is a lovely blazer but just doesn't look like "you".

Hi all, well it has been awhile again. I have hit summer and vacation so I finally get time to enjoy my little hobby!

I missed you all!

I have been a good girl about making a list of needs, er wants, that should finish my closet and I wanted to post a bit about it. First the want list

1. replacement stripe blazer for old one that was too big and I had tired of
2. replacement grey blazer for one that I feel is too big and not cool enough
3. leopard blazer just because I saw a lady wearing one and thought she looked great.

So the stories, I take the stripe first and split the post so I can ask questions. Let me know if you all prefer them all in one. I get lost myself when having too any pics to consider.

1. I searched online alot and found a few stripe blazers but I am a bit wary of ordering into Norway and having to return (serious toll here). The local options were this mango stripe blazer and the GANT schoolboy blazer. The GANT cost more than I have ever considered for a blazer so I just longed for it, but put it from my thoughts. And after several months the mango showed up at about 70 USD. I purchased and then tried it on at home with my clothes. The tiny collar and the short cut just did not trigger any happiness (pic 2). So I returned it, called the GANT store and asked about summer discounts. The Gant was on sale so I jumped. Question, do you like the fit on me and is there anything you would alter (picture 3)

Also, do you feel it fits better than the Mango?

I added the original blazer I am trying to replace, in case you can spot what I missing in trying to replace it. Is there anything about it that makes it look better on me than these two?

Sorry about not styling my hair in the GANT shot. just got home at that point.

Gant is still possible to return....
