They are wide enough in the toe box for me and fit me like a dream. They have also held up well over the years...I take one or two pairs on trips when I know I will be doing a lot of walking. The only thing that has worn out is the shoelaces but when it happened to the first pair, I wore them to Nordstrom and asked if they sold replacement shoelaces. I had ordered these JS sneakers and ended up wearing them right out of Nordstrom and for several hours barefoot. The metallic keeps them from being too gearish in my mind.
