You either fit it or you don’t, and if you don’t it can be extremely uncomfortable. They are all wrong for my feet - heel too wide, arch falls in the wrong spot. I got fit for Birks at an orthopaedic store by a middle aged man who clearly had experience/strong opinions and he put me in a 37 which is smaller than I’d ever worn. My feet completely fill the shoe and my toes may been be a millimeter over. But comfort wise they are perfect, they are 3 or 4 years old now and I still wear them almost daily around the house and casually as they look a bit tired for nicer outfits. Later I tried another style at a trendy shop and the youthful staff were insistent that I needed the 38 because the Birkinstock fit guide dictates some room at the toe or heel. I don't know what <b>LaPed'</b>s foot shape is precisely but I know she's said she has narrow heels, as you and I do, and you and I have similarly shaped feet otherwise -- shorter toes, wider forefoot, narrower heel, higher arch. </p> <p>But if you've worn before and typically they work for your foot and you know it, I'd try sizing down in these to compare. They're very pretty in both colours. I do think you'd probably get blisters at first in the pink but the leather would soften over time and body glide might help.&nbsp;</p> <p>The striped top looks like a good addition. As for the lilac sweaters, it's tough to judge in these photos. What are the overall proportions like? Can you get a shot of that?
