I have 30 lbs of stuff to carry between 2 offices- and the farther one is 20 miles away. I used to ride each morning in summer when I was able to wfh though and it was the best part of my day. I fully intend for my next work situation to be wfh, self employment, part time, or outdoors!<br /> There are plenty of events in December, it's just I have no will to go out in the cold and dark! To find a safer route? A place to wipe off with moist towelettes and change?<br /> For outdoor socializing, what else is missing?<br /> Are there solstice celebrations there? Over here, the biggie is on Brocken Mountain, but there are lots of other gatherings of women outdoors, around a fire, to sing and dance and leap over the fire and celebrate the return of the sun. I bet you’d enjoy one. It’s a winter festival. </p> <p>ETA Christmas markets also call themselves winter festivals, but they’re mich more centered on the commerce, and can turn kitchy pretty quickly.
