My guess is that she took the ends of the fabric in front and tucked them in at an angle, just at the tips. It's a neat look! Definitely would need a lightweight, soft fabric like this one.

Whatever she's done, I like it! It almost looks as thought she pulled each tail toward a hip and then tucked it in.

It definitely seems deliberate. I love the white on white. Whenever I tried all white as a child (and I did), my mom said I looked "like the ice cream man." Angie, I'd love a post about wearing all white, if that's something you could get behind.

Agree: to achieve this look, a very drapey, breezy blouse is key. It looks like she front semi-tucked, then pulled it a bit away from her body so that the tuck is not too evident. This to show the front of the pants and define her hips, while still covering her behind and keep some to the imagination. It is quite clever. It has a very 1970's chic vibe. Thanks for posting!

Anna, I think both tails are tucked because none are hanging out and it makes kind of a V-shape. I agree that clutch is really cool.

Shannon, me too Being on YLF so much I automatically think, white out! PPL! I love the independent touch of orange too that stands out so much against the white and repeated (bookended!) green.

Jilly, just keep experimenting I think the blousey-ness of the top in this photo allows the fabric to fall softly to the hip on either side.

Really cute. I just tried a semi-tuck for a dinner out tonite, it didn't quite work because i think the shorts were too high-waistedand the fabric too stiff.

To me it looks like she tucked only one tail of the shirt. I think that seems to be a very drapey fabric helps.
Love her Christopher Kane clutch though.

I came across this photo in a blog (you have to scroll down through the post to find it). I haven't seen a semi-tuck like this before--it looks like there is some crossover action going on that makes it look clearly deliberate. I thought this might appeal to those who feel a semi-tuck is just too sloppy. Also I might try it myself just because I like the idea. Hope you enjoy! (also the bonus photos of a super-bizarro runway presentation)
