The shoe needs to start narrowing to a point beyond your toes. Almond toes are more classic anyway. Next. Pointy toes in general do not like me. I have one pair of pointy- almond toe fkats that works but havd quit looking at any pointy flats. However paradoxically I'm considering some pointy booties that are rather comfortable and I might BR brave enough to wear with skirts, so, a HEWI thing, potentially targeting for a few specific outfits. Duck feet. And sizing up doesn't help because then the shoes fall off my narrow heel when I walk. I do have one pair of pointy kitten heels that somehow work but they are spendy Bruno Maglis. Even with those my toes get a bit sore by the end of the night. I love the look but it does not love me. Althogh Elizabeth's remark gives me hope... It was a smart decision Thistle because comfort is shoes is not for a compromise in my book.  But you got tall boots which are hard for you to fit - it is a reason to celebrate, right?! I am totally in the same boat. My toes reject nearly all pointy toed shoes. My tiny toes are nearly the same length as my big toes but also are twisted inwards, so a pointy shape mashes my toes together, the big ones overlap the tiny ones, and it's really uncomfortable. It's hard to pass up pretty shoes but not worth being in pain or unable to walk long distances due to less than stellar footwear. My size was sold out day 1 of the sale at 6 am, so I pounced on day 2 when they came back in stock. While they are true to size, they are NOT comfortable. As a matter of fact, I took two steps in them and wanted them off. I had hoped the pointed toe from Stuart Weitzman would be comfortable. Alas, they are not. I just think my feet reject pointed toe shoes :(  I will have to settle for almond toes.
