My forum friends were the first to know, I found it easier to type rather than say out loud that she had gone. Your good wishes and sympathy means so much and helps with the healing process, which always takes time. You have given me the strength to tell my circle of friends and family. Bijou was adored by them all, most still thought of her as being young because she was always so playful and high spirited.</p> <p>My 7 year old Westie, Margot, is loving extra cuddles and is great support to us all. She is more subdued than usual and is wanting to sleep in Bijou’s basket and puts her head on Bijou’s favourite stuffed toy. Thank you for your lovely messages. Losing my fur baby is hard, I just have to remember all the wonderful moments which were too many to count. Even the day before, after breakfast, Bijou had a roll on the rug and looked the picture of contentment. Dogs are so good at living in the present and making the most of what each day brings. I miss her terribly, but am thankful that her death did not involve undue pain or suffering. I am honoured to have her name and picture as my Avatar on this forum.
