With that necklace, I think the crew-v combo looks better than the v alone. </p> <p>Like JAileen, I've had many bad experiences with exposing my navel. I stopped wearing them for years because it was hard to find v necks appropriate for smaller chests and narrow shoulders. A wardrobe hole.<br /> Sweet Ledonna, you can have no idea how hard it is to look good with a flat chest. I look like a boy in V necks. In fact, my chest does not fill out scoop necks either, so that if I bend a bit, the whole neckline gapes forward and I may as not well be wearing a top. I have had some. Dry embarrassing photos taken and put on Facebook where I am bending over a bit to pet a dog. Higher necklines seem to visually enhance the chest, maybe because there is a greater expanse of fabric. As Angie observed,V necks are not my best and I usually avoid them. This sweater was an impulse buy some time ago. I loved the oatmeal color, texture and side zippers as well as the cotton/ linen yarn. It transcends seasons depending on what I wear under it. Therefore, I overlooked the neck shape.<br /> BC, thank you. Putting on and removing layers can be so useful in staying comfortable through the day. I dog walked with all the layers shown but now, inside about 2pm, I'm comfortable without the scarf and vest layers. Later I will need them again.<br /> Firecracker, I value your thoughts. I like it best with the scarf too, which is also of a cotton/linen blend. I almost went with pewter metallic booties and bag but liked the snake booties better. The jeans are a coated grey denim and lighter than they appear in the photo but fairly dark grey.<br /> Robin, I love wearing these boots.
