If the fit is not very precise in the waist, they ride down and I end up with drop-crotch leggings, awful. High-waisted styles from athletic brands are pretty much the only ones that work for me. One thing you might consider are opaque footless tights -- I used to have a bunch from drug stores/Target/etc in a variety of colours. They were very useful when I had a wider repertoire of skirts. I think that the idea was that the leggings should "blend in" with the outfit; here, the released hems seem to steal the show. You could try the first look with regular leggings if you want to experiment more with the ensemble.</p> <p>On the second outfit, I think that the skirt may be a little too long to work well with ankle-length leggings; I think the two hems will be too close together.
