Gigi, I did the original logging in to the parking site on the browser on my phone. What I meant above was that I could get the function Rachylou was talking about on laptop, not that I could find the actual info.

Rachylou thanks so much for getting back with a second suggestion for me. I couldn't get your suggestion to work (because there is no menu option) So I think your conclusion was correct.

The funny thing is that when I was looking around for help with this I was constantly finding information about how to delete your browsing history, not how to find it! I'm still surprised this stuff seems so hard to find.

My last line of defence is to contact the parking company and see if they had a record that I had logged in. If not, I plan on telling my workplace that they need to have clearer instructions and warn people what will happen if a system doesn't work.

It is small stuff really, and noone will starve from my paying the fee (though it is more than my clothing budget for a month, to put it in YLF terms!) and I have a great deal of other things to concern me at the moment.
I am always so ready to take the blame if any portion at all can be attributable to me, but in this case I really did feel that there wasn't!

Launch Internet Explorer on your Windows Mobile device. Tap "Menu," "Tools" then "Options."

Tap the "Memory" tab

I have the sneaking suspicion, tho, that you can't view the date/time on a phone.

Anne, could you take a snapshot of the screen from your laptop and then send it to yourself on e-mail, at which point you could pull it up on your phone?

Thanks Rachylou,
I have trialled that out on Firefox on my laptop and it worked perfectly. I can't get it working on IE on my phone though (no name bar) and now I can't find the page on my history anyway - I think I crowded it out with too much web browsing.
So I guess I can't use that defence

Are you using Firefox, Anne?

In Firefox, if you:

Go to the menu (the icon with three horizontal bars, like a stack of paper) (usually far right), left click and select History

Select Show All HIstory at the bottom of the menu that appears

Right-click over the Name bar in the Library window that appears

Select most Recent Visit

You should see the Date and Timestamp in a new column in the Library window

If you're using another browser, it should work similarly.

Ok!

I am wondering if anyone here can help me. I am trying to appeal against a parking fine I believe is unfair. The institution I work for has a system where you register online with your staff number and get a password and then log in when you park. I followed all the instructions explicitly right down to the letter, but for some reason on the first time I did it the webpage never recorded the transaction and thus I am being fined.

I have already appealed and was rejected and am appealing again, as I feel it was very unfair (especially as I am a very law abiding sort of person and had studied up on exactly what to do, even clarifying certain details in emails with the parking office). Anyway as fuel to bolster my appeal I would like to show them that I at least visited the correct website at the exact time I parked.

Do you know if there is anyway I can prove this from the browsing history the web browser on my mobile? The site will come up on the "visited in last seven days list" but I want it to specifically show I was there at a certain point on Monday morning!
