I’m dealing with similar stress/hormonal issues. We received an invitation from my husband’s old friend to a Halloween/housewarming party that many of their old set will be invited to. I haven’t met any of them yet, and I was glad to see it was a costume party. I have a Rosie the Riveter costume that still fits and is comfortable, so no need to figure something out. They eloped earlier in the pandemic. I will know a good chunk of the people there, most I haven’t seen since before the pandemic. It’s a at restaurant downtown, or event space, or something like that. The group is pretty casual.<br /> I’m at a loss as to what to wear. I wish a new outfit was in the cards, or something new piece of clothing, but it’s not right now. And even then stress bad habits has led to weight gain. So, what I like/want isn’t in my size.<br /> I know I’ll be running warm (yay perimenopause). So that crazy denim jacket I bought over the summer is out. Plus we are having a very atypical warm fall.<br /> My mental health ain’t great (lots and lots of stress right now, lots) and I want to look nice.<br /> I’m not even sure what of my nice clothes currently fits. I’ve been wearing sweatpants a lot. And haven’t been going anywhere. Even then I’m not sure I like what’s in there. <br /> So yeah super vague post, which isn’t helpful in you helping me.<br /> I have to take my Dad to the grocery store now. He’s been bugging me all morning. Hopefully later today I can come back and look at my closet and throw out ideas<br /> ETA, I’m overdue for a hair appointment, but at the bare minimum I’m getting a bang trim this week </p>
