				<description>&#060;p&#062;I agree with jjsloan, you should not be showing in the negative for points except if you used the notes and then made returns.&#038;nbsp; I don't understand why you would make returns on another card, that sounds shady.&#038;nbsp; &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;It's like any other cash back credit card.&#038;nbsp; I am getting frustrated with Nordstrom not honoring correct points for 10 point days or triple points and having to monitor them.&#038;nbsp; They keep saying &#034;system glitches&#034; and are not apologetic about it AT ALL.&#038;nbsp; I think I may stop being a Nordstrom customer if they keep this up.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;That makes sense. OT: One of the ways credit cards count on making money is if you spend on that card and are not able to pay on time or carry a balance. Because of the competitive credit card, companies go to considerable expense to recruit and retain customers. Someone who is in the field has told me that I should expect a minimum of $300-400 in 'free' stuff from any given card.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;I'm confused and feeling badly about this now. I wasn't trying to cheat the system, I would've been fine if it just took away the points I'd earned. But I'd read cautionary tales about going into the negative, and I thought I'd have no chance of going back into the positive since I don't usually spend hundreds there.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;FWIW, I ended up re-ordering a few things that I returned since they are on sale now, in different sizes because the original sizes I had weren't quite right and I felt I'd spent too much $ on not quite right.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I'm not going to fool with triple rewards again. Too stressful!

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Yeah, they go negative if the nordies note was already issued. So really you don't miss out on anything, it just takes longer to get a new note, since you were already given one you technically hadn't earned yet (because of the returns).

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Last week I bought several items at Nordstrom and the SA asked if I wanted to make it a triple rewards day (I did!). Between then and now, I decided to return most of it but learned that my rewards points would go heavily negative if I did the return to my Nordstrom card. I ended up doing the return to my debit card, which went directly to my checking account,&#038;nbsp;and I was able to&#038;nbsp;pay my Nordstrom card bill from that. Just thought I'd pass this workaround along in case anyone else didn't know the &#034;dangers&#034; of returning double/triple point purchases.
