Looks really good, Carla! Interestingly, I watched some of her videos last winter; my husband watched one with me. I made just a few changes in how I store my clothes, based on her system. But my husband really got into it, reworked his entire dresser, and maintains it to this day!

I konmarie’d my closet shelves and it give me joy 4 weeks later. I still have one gear shelf and T-shirt cabinet to go

It worked really well with my jeans which I can now see and has resulted in me not shopping for jeans online. Well, except for a snakeskin pair because I can clearly see that I don’t have 1!

Fantastic! I mostly use this method for jeans and shorts but have to remember to keep the waistband on top or I can't always tell them apart. Which says more about the quantity of my jeans than anything else.

That's impressive, especially for a guy!

I don't use the method because I don't store much in drawers - only undies, pajamas, socks and swimwear. It's spread out enough that it's easy to see it all. Everything else, including workout gear and lounge clothes, are hanging. I guess the drawers I do use would look neater with this method though so maybe I'll try it someday.

Janet and others, I am curious about Flip Fold. What are the advantages, compared to the KM method, for instance? What kind of clothing items can you use it for? Do you need different kinds/sizes for different clothing items?

Nice!

Does anyone else here use a Flip Fold? I’m a huge fan. It allows me to make really uniform stacks or rows of folded clothes. They look great on our shelves or in drawers. The very uniform size makes it easier to see what you have.

I fold all my clothes (that aren't hung) this way. I don't have a dresser, so I use baskets on my closet shelves. Once you have the basics of the technique, you can pretty much fold anything to fit in whatever width you have available for it, so everything stays quite neat!

@JAileen, I thought my drawers looked messy at first, and that the items would get wrinkly not lying “flat”, but am pleasantly surprised. Even though the first impression is a little messier and maybe cluttered because you see more items at once, the drawer stays organized no matter which pieces I take out and put back in. And nothing is wrinkled any more than before!

DH is next on the list as his drawers are a mess. He cleaned out his closet already thankfully!

@JAileen - there are lots of videos demonstrating the 'correct' method for folding How she does pants and shorts is really quite interesting. For shirts, the neck or collar gets 'hidden' during the folding.

I'm hoping DS keeps it up, since the alternative is milk crates and other receptacles, to capture the overflow! My laundry baskets were starting to bottleneck in his room. He was going for easy pickings because he couldn't see what was in his drawers, and cycling through what just got washed and folded.

This am DH commented that he is really happy to get his sweaters in a drawer and clear up space on his side of the closet. So we,shall, see!

I don't follow the method. When I folded my stuff, there wasn't enough to keep it all standing up! I'm going to try a version for packing for my next trip, though.

I fold my pjs this way, my running tights and capris, and my cotton T-shirt’s. Most of my tops and shirts are on hangers, but the “race” shirts are in a drawer. I’ve tried to make it work for underclothes, but they are small and slippery, so they don’t want to stay that way. My tights and capris are kind of rolled rather than folded.

P.S. Do not imagine that those race shirts represent anything but participation. Only one was an award for placing. I do wear most of these shirts for house chores and also after running for the social time.
