I love challenges, both participating and watching. For me, they are very useful and I see results with improved outfits and utilizing my wardrobe right away. I also truly enjoy looking at other people’s challenge outfits - so much inspiration. I love the idea of an art challenge and an orphan challenge. The idea of one item three ways sounds perfect as well - that would be very useful for me as my summer outfits would need some work. Personally, I would need a “week without a scarf” challenge, but I guess I might be the only participant, lol .. Or is there anyone who would like to try this? One post a week from each participant sound good. So whatever you, ladies decide, I am in. (For example: use "Jul/Aug challenge" at the start of post titles.) Personally I find challenge posts more engaging than regular WIWs etc. but I may well be an outlier. It's harder to participate at your leisure. Shorter posts are a lot more forum friendly. People can absorb the info more easily and are keener to comment. Thanks for suggesting this. I was hoping for something other than the 30x30 or 40x60 - or at least a different way of presenting them as forum threads. Those challenges tend to take over the forum and the threads are very long - a little impractical to read and keep up with for readers, IYKWIM. The NAS has its special section and can be hidden if desired, so despite the frenzy it's unobtrusive. I'm open to suggestions, and of course, don't want to spoil anyone's fun. It's important to do something to beat the winter doldrums.  Anonymous on "A July or August Challenge?" https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/a-july-or-august-challenge#post-1931603 Mon, 25 Jun 2018 15:00:52 +0000 Anonymous 1931603@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ SarahDB made me laugh out loud.   In summary, our plan is for 31 days, starting on July 1st.  PERFECT.   Here is my personal challenge.  No shopping for the next 31 days ... unless I literally cannot get dressed in the morning.  Literally.   No excuses.   My entire work- and casual-wear wardrobe is comprised of 37 items (excluding athletic wear, sleep wear, shoes, bags, and jewelry).  It is my goal to wear all 37 items, but to evaluate fit and make the hard decisions.  For example,I am currently wearing a favorite, favorite top.  Evidently, it is now over-sized because the neckline/shoulders keep slipping out of place.  I have to keep reaching up to adjust them back into place.   Even though I only 37 wardrobe items at this time, there are still garments that don't get worn.  The second part of my challenge will be to wear those garments and figure out why I always reach for something else instead.  I'm starting today!!!  I will post at least weekly.  Probably more often.   THANKS for thinking up the Challenge, Sal.  I look forward to it.    Jenni NZ on "A July or August Challenge?" https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/a-july-or-august-challenge#post-1931475 Mon, 25 Jun 2018 02:11:58 +0000 Jenni NZ 1931475@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ Hi I may join in in some way, already trying to wear older things and deciding if they should go due to the house move coming up ( new home in back yard after subdividing).
