You guys crack me up. I usually wear the molded on the plane (air con being what it is ;-)) and pack another, unlined one. I am envisioning a long trip now, and wearing three stacked on top of each other! What an image!

Diana...for the no headlights look when i go sans, i use the adhesive single use nipple covers ("petals"). Some come in very pole dancer patterns and shapes (leopard print flowers anyone?) but they work!

I imagine they would work under non molded bras.

My bras always come out somewhat squished from the suitcase so this is a solution, just looks like a lot of space taken by the case itself.

I've got a few molded cup bras still, but I don't tend to buy them these days because of the whole crushing problem, and because they have to be the exact right mimicking shape to look right. I've got some seamed unlined bras, which are great as long as you're not wearing something clingy, but most of mine are unlined and one-piece. I suspect that if I were any bigger (I'm a D) they wouldn't be supportive enough, even with the underwire.

Most of mine are molded but of the thin, spacer foam variety that crush with no issues at all and recover immediately and still have plenty of structure built in so the girls aren't relying on the foam 100% to hold them up. I also have a seamed bra, which I also like but can't wear with the drapey rayon knits that are popular.

When Victoria's Secret invented the what became known as "t shirt " bras , I jumped on board and never looked back. But you do have to be careful like you said Diana because it can look bad if you don't fill it. I am very small, a B, but I do really well with them.

Janet, that is exactly what happens to me...they end of squished no matter how careful I am.

On me, I can often see the tops of the molded cups under things because they stick out too much. (they are the right size, I just have bottom heavy breasts and a wide, flat sternum.). I have a couple of unlined, unseamed bras (just a single piece of stretchy fabric with a wire for each cup) but I'm only a c cup and you can see headlights with them. I use my one molded bra when I need both no seams AND opacity.

I usually roll up socks in mine too, but I've found they get squished anyway, or the socks move around if the suitcase is not packed tightly, etc. I've wondered about these cases, but so often I'm trying to save space and weight when traveling. Hmm, might have to investigate.

I prefer how molded cups look on me -- I wore a seamed lace bra a few days ago and then realized in a photo that even in a top that was not fitted, you could see the stupid seams in the bra through my shirt. I HATE that. My husband doesn't like the molded bras, but they just look so much better under tops...

I never realized how easy I had it with bra storage! I never really know how to store my one molded bra as is - it takes up more room than like 5 of the others! I have quite limited storage space for clothing so I fold up my non-molded bras and put them in a small basket. I'm never quite sure what to do with the molded one. Generally I just kind of set it on top of the basket with the rest but then I have to move it every time I want to get something out of the basket.

Interesting. I'm just curious : how many people here wear molded bras that would need this type of storage? I actually really dislike molded bras and only own one (a nude one for when I really need a seamless look). Molded cups don't generally fit my breast shape well, so they look unnatural. All the rest of mine are soft (aside from the wire) and unpadded so I just fold them and lay them flat.

For those with bigger chestular areas - those bra balls don't come anywhere near fitting the underwires of a 38G bra, and I suspect that case wouldn't either.

I have never heard of a "bra ball" ...I just looked it up via Google. What a great idea.

I too put rolled socks and nest them and then put them in plastic bags. They seem to get all squished anyway. For years I have been thinking, " If only someone would invest a container..." LOL

I didn't realize it was a problem. I do like joy. Or nest the cups together for the ones with a front clasp. I think there maybe a bra ball for washing which could double as transport.
