I have seen more race diversity than age or body type though. I would love to see more hourglass or pear models! That aren't plus sized. Or short models! Did you know that the models for petite clothes are 5'7"? That is so crazy.</p> <p>Madewell used Solange Knowles to model some clothes. She looked great! She didn't look super skinny or super tall, and she did not have the typical model's body type. I believe advertisers would benefit. It says, you have permission to love fashion and look great at any age.</p> <p>I feel there are plenty of us here at YLF that are pioneers in this regard. Dressing in on-trend clothes that still might be considered "too young" (even though we make it work) is not the norm for women 45 and over.
