It’s interesting because when I was a teenager, very thin and carefully shaped brows were in fashion and I felt unforgivably hairy, hah. Thankfully I wasn’t really paying that much attention, or I surely would have waxed them out of existence.</p> <p><b>Binkie</b>, thanks for your perspective as a fellow lifelong specs wearer. That’s the big question I suppose, is whether I am ready for something bolder, but I appreciate the vote of confidence.</p> <p><b>Laura G</b>, the glasses in #4 are Chanel. They were great glasses, but over time I guess the resin dried out, so they are developing white spots. Also they have been viciously sat upon and repaired a couple of times, and just don’t sit as well as they did in the photo. I really know what you are saying about seeing the glasses first rather than the face. It is my husband’s main concern as well. I was recently in the market for some new specs, and ended up coming home with the blue ones (photo 1), but I never feel 100% good in the shape. It feels a little serious or masculine to me? I always liked the rounder one (photo 2) and went back today to try them on again. The store also had a new pair (photo 3) that I also liked, although they are much more bold than anything I have chosen in years. My resident fashion stylist for the day, my 4 year old, told me he prefers my original broken glasses most of all. They were overall smaller with a nice curved shape and a warm tortoiseshell.&nbsp;</p> <p>One of my big questions about the glasses is how they work with my eyebrows. Angie's guidelines state the the glasses should follow the line of the brow. Probably the first pair does that best. The second pair shows the top middle of my brow.
