I'm not all that surprised that we have more of an image of Parisian women being ahead of the fashion curve, and that this isn't always true (well, it's subjective anyway).&nbsp;<br /><br />I'm now really curious to see whether Milan especially and Bologna will turn out to be replete with chic women. Everything that we could ever want was so convenient- we even had a fabulous bakery just outside the courtyard of our apartment building, where we got fresh pain au chocolat every morning.<br />The Marais is a shopper's paradise, too.<br /><br />Suz, It's funny, but I felt like even my cobalt coat stood out, and it's not exactly wild and crazy.<br />It sounds like your experience was very similar to mine fashion-wise. I just could not get excited about all the coral/ orange stuff.<br /><br />I'll post pictures tomorrow of my stuff from COS. I'm really happy with my purchases and have been wearing them every day. But how did I miss the galaxy print? And my one observation is that probably 90% of the women's coats in Paris are black! Most of the others are navy, brown, or gray, so there was a remarkable lack of color.&nbsp;<br /><br />But of course the stores were full of spring clothes, with plenty of color.&nbsp;I was curious to see whether there'd be a lot of "the color of the year"- emerald green, and I saw just about none at all! The colors that I did see a lot of were orange in all it's shades: lots of coral and sort of an orange sherbet color. Honestly, I didn't care for it much at all. There was a fair amount of blue, as well: navy, ink blue, royal blue and cobalt,&nbsp;which I liked much, much better. And there were&nbsp;quite a few mid-tone pastels, and some neons. Black and white looks weren't as big as I expected, but were represented, nonetheless. As far as prints, there were lots of stripes, and photo prints were everywhere.<br /><br />Clothing shapes ran the gamut from body con to lots more oversized and boxy tops. Colorful leather moto jackets were everywhere, and I saw lots of slouchy, pleated, and harem pants. Light-colored leather booties were in abundance for spring.<br />Overall, I didn't find the clothes to be as inspirational as usual, though.<br /><br />The only place that I did much shopping was COS, and I loved almost everything there. Their stuff is so reasonably priced, too.&nbsp;&nbsp;I'm so excited to hear that they're going to be opening in the US! I found several things there, but that's the subject for a separate post...<br /><br />Below are just a few pictures from shop windows, a few&nbsp;looks seen on the street, and a couple of fun bonus pictures.&nbsp;<br /><br />Questions&nbsp;and comments are always&nbsp;welcome!<br /><br />1- window at&nbsp;Comptoir des Cotonniers<br />2- Pastel purses<br />3- Black &amp; white stripes with neon<br />4- Leather motos<br />5- a girl on the metro: loved her hair, and her whole outfit, although it's hard to see it here.<br />6- a girl seen waiting for the bus: Interesting outfit with wool shorts, tights, knee socks, and Docs.<br />7- shopping for fruit at the outdoor market<br />8- a beautiful old doorway that caught our eye<br />9- cute little piggy meringues that were brought with our coffee one evening at the end of dinner<br />10- a glimpse of the cozy&nbsp;apartment that we rented, in the Marais.<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />
