I hope you share pictures of the finished project with all of them. </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/a-few-flowers-for-my-garden#post-1344044 Sun, 31 Aug 2014 20:58:10 +0000 cheryle (Dianthus) 1344044@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>I thought I would share what i have been up to the last week or so. &nbsp;I was very much into gardening when I moved into my last house and watched all the gardening shows. &nbsp;I saw a few with stained glass stepping stones but when I looked at stores I suffered from sticker shock. &nbsp;I took and class in stained glass and started making them. &nbsp;I probably &nbsp;made about 40 of them but gave away at last half as gifts. &nbsp;</p> <p>I decided to take up the habit (hobby) again. &nbsp;Here are a few works in progress. &nbsp;It took a bit of practice to start doing the more challenging cuts but I am getting back into the groove. &nbsp;</p> <p>I already poured the concrete for&nbsp;#1 and #3 (the frog is black and the flower is pink). &nbsp;I added sky around the sun on&nbsp;#2 a few minutes ago but haven't decided whether to leave as a circle or add a border to make it a hex. &nbsp;Then I have&nbsp;to smooth the edges and prep it to pour. &nbsp;It takes a while to pour since I mix my own cement with additives to strengthen them so I can leave them out in winter. &nbsp;</p> <p>I might make about 25 and use them for a walkway from the driveway to the back yard. &nbsp;Haven't decided if I should have a common theme or just a whole lot of random unique pieces.</p> <p>Well that is how I am spending this rainy long weekend. &nbsp;:)</p>
