Yes, it automatically is seen by the person you click for, but not others. So if you clicked comedy for this response, you would see it and I would see it, but other members would not see it. And so forth.

delurked, thank you for sorting me how to edit my posts. I have a question for you, when I click one of the five blocks rating replies, does that automatically go to the person who posted or do I need to click something else?

Sounds like a nice event and a great family. Your fedora is a real signature for you.

When you look at your original post - to the bottom right (right of the heart and flower/wheel) there is a little square box with a pencil looking icon. Click on that and you can edit your original post.

Corrections: Paragraph 4, 2nd line should be towel dry, not towel day. I am especially anxious to correct this one: last paragraph line 4, should be To, not Two. My thinking and knowledge of the English language far exceed my typing abilities.

Jenni, thank you. I am delighted to have a friend in New Zealand, and that we share an interest in fashion.

Joy, thank you. I am flattered, all the compliments from someone whose closet I so admire. FYI The watermelon hat is Nine West from Steinmart. Bought it in early May I think. The tag listed the color as red. I stand by my color Watermelon. LOL

You have a heart of gold and I love the ending. This is a testimony to your well cultivated closet. I want a watermelon-colored fedora.

So much joy in small but thoughtful----

One week ago this past Friday, I was reading YLF and drinking coffee as I usually do. I had the entire day to prepare for the next day meeting at the library, which I had already posted asking YLF to help me decide what to wear.I was planning to get a mani and a pedi.

At 9:00 am I had a call, asking me to volunteer to help with a graduation reception for Child Development Center (pre-school) at a church where I am not a member. Lets just say I have a "connection" or several there. LOL. My job would be taking care of beverage table. I needed to be there at 10:00am. Wear anything I wanted to. This meant do not ask what to wear, I do not have time to tell you and you do not have time to stress over it.

Log out of YFL. When I am short on time, I allow 7 minutes for a shower, towel day, and think of what to wear.

O.K. The graduating class of 27 six year olds, going into 1st. grade in the fall. Ah ha, decorations and refreshments would be colorful and fun. Surely some red there. I chose white long straight jeans, a tee with red, blue, yellow beach scene. Very pretty, I think, but short sleeves. I have to cover my upper arms. I have a shrunken white burn out topper I wore. Added my two tone denim sneaks with bright pink stripe Levi's for comfort, topped everything off with my new watermelon fedora.

I casually strolled in at 9:55 and took my place. It was steady and fast paced for at least 1 hour. Believe you me, this is the type thing I thrive on. One of my musings: 27 graduates, their parents, grandparents, and siblings, a total count of approximately 150, and not one person, other than me wore a hat. I did get a pedi later in the day, skipped the mani.

Fast forward to Saturday afternoon. Shortly after I got home from the meeting at the library my 3yr old great-granddaughter and her father appeared at my door. Great granddaughter was holding two carnations. Two my eye they were watermelon color. She reached one to me. Her grandfather explained that the Child Development Center Director gave one to Great granddaughter and the other was for me, to match the hat I had worn Enough said!
