The only exception to that is the Madewell Courier shirt. Love those. But they are boxy and intentionally oversized. They suit me and my lifestyle to a T, and I buy a couple every year. I often have trouble with shirt dresses for the same reasons blouses are a tough fit, but I keep trying. Sometimes I luck out, like I did with the $10 Old Navy chambray dress that I purchased recently. It's much cuter than in the images shown on the website. So many thin strapped "sun" dresses around or overly lined and heavy synthetics.&nbsp; If the other one works maybe I will keep it - hoping the style will stay the course though because at the price I'd want it to last several years.</p> <p>Kate - I also ordered and tried the mixed stripe blouse (opposite stripe - big on front, small on back) but I am on the fence about it just because it is more memorable I think so I wonder if I will be likely to wear it often enough to justify the expense. It is a pique cotton, just enough weight to have structure and drape well and roomy and comfortable. DH even likes it and he's very picky. It doesn't have pockets but I don't really "use" pockets anyway and it would mess up the drape of the dress. I like the "sporty" feel of it all around.</p> <p>And good thing because it was a final sale item at just $41 which honestly I didn't even notice when I ordered. One me, it is just slightly above the knee - not nearly as short as on the model. The color is a very creamy ivory that goes very well with blonde hair.</p> <p>I ordered another one to try but haven't received it yet. I doubt I will keep two but I am happy to have found at least one good for me summer dress. </p>
