I'd love to see how that dress looks actually on! Could be a nice breezy option! I've been having success with Wilfred these days at Aritzia, too.

kerry - my 5 y.o. settled on this flower backpack. She is not very girly however and doesn't insist on princesses etc. :)

Hey Daria, LLBean does offer free shipping - this is new informtion for me so thanks! Unfortunately my 5 year old has a very girly streak so it's cute kitties or glitter hearts or bust!

kerry - I believe LLBean offers free shipping and returns to Canada, if you are after backpacks, although of course there is still the exchange rate issue. (Sorry for OT!)

Thanks Joy. It feels like it'll be cool even with the black and the longer sleeves.

Greyscale, I love Everlane stuff. I have their u-neck tees. This dress looks great. I'm just not sure I could do the pockets with the real estate I've got it looks great on you, though. I think you could be an Everlane fit model! I hear you on cap sleeves - they are a horror show on me!

This.ooks like an easy dress to pop on and wear. The linen/viscose blend sounds like a good fabric for summer.

That looks great! I just bought a similar dress though a little less refined since it's just heavy cotton jersey (from Everlane; they do ship to Canada but I imagine it's less than ideal if you have to return a size that doesn't fit). I like the sleeves on both yours and mine because shorter cap sleeves never fit me quite right.

Daria, those look great! But you're right, ordering from Canada makes it difficult (never mind returns - the dollar is horrible). I just priced an online only PBK backpack for my daughter. It's $85 including tax, duty and shipping. Backpacks from PBK in Canada are $49 + tax. Argh!

kerry, I hope the dress works out for you, it does look lovely!
I saved a couple of dresses that seem to be "just throw and go" - I realize that being in Canada makes things a little complicated.

I meant to respond to LisaP's lament of the lack of interesting, well-made, sleeved dresses with my own complaint. I've been trying to find a summer dress that's just throw on and go. Light, forgiving, easy. Too much to ask? I began to think so. I have several curves which makes finding a dress very difficult.

I think I've tried on over 2 dozen dresses with no luck. A girlfriend of mine grabs these easy dresses at places like Joe Fresh for under 20 bucks and she's done. Not me. I came close yesterday at a gear store called Sail (Canadian retailer out of Quebec which sells hunting, fishing and camping gear. They also sell clothes (mostly Columbia, NorthFace and the like) but they also had some items from a line called Sandwich (I think out of the Netherlands). I have a pair of pants from years ago from this line that I loved. The dress was linen on the front with a knit cotton for the back torso and sleeves. The size wasn't right :(

So today I was at Yorkdale (big mall in Toronto) and they have a stand-alone Wilfred (line from Aritzia). I didn't know this existed until today. I found this dress, bought it and think I love it. I'll have to sleep on it.
