Okay I'm about to get really truthful here. First off Anna thank you for this it moved me to tears on my my birthday which I said I was not gonna cry. Next. I know that I will NEVER have children I know this for a fact. My lineage will end with me. There will never be any childern or babies and strollers no mommy and me play dates no school graduations or late night hospital visits no colds in my nose or messy kitchens because of the flower that spilled out of the bowl. Lol

I did not say all of that for anyone to feel sorry for me or to recommend adoption. I choose about 10years ago not to have children. For my own very personal reasons. I really don't morn the loser haveing said that this recording right here moved me. ,I mean it literally shifted my spirit to look at the different aspects of what is loss nor what is gained. It is something that just is.

I listened 2x because I could vividly imagine my child doing these things. The child I will never see grow because of choices I've made and am really at peace with.

You are such a kind soul Anna and again I thank you.
I choose to celebrate everyday not just a pointed day that says I have to on any holiday.

thanks for sharing, Anna. It's important for me to be reminded that there are a multitude of feelings and experiences around Mother's Day.

Anna, Mother's Day goes beyond one single day; we're all here due to mothers and universally, each of us mothers something; it's in our DNA. Liked the NPR bit, very topical.

I'm a secret '40s adoption and have a complicated relationship with Mother's Day. Thank you, champagne! Love the authentic sentiment about our mothers, but dislike the forced Hallmark holiday

Heard this on the radio this morning. I'll probably never be a mother, but this got to me
