It means more than you know. I let hubby read this thread as well and he is astounded at the love and thoughtfulness that comes from this group, whom we have never met. </p> <p>Of course this is made all the more difficult for DH as October 29th will be one year since his Dad passed away, also from cancer.</p> <p>Nothing new to report on MIL - we are still waiting to hear from the Oncologist. In the meantime, we've decided to take MIL to all the places in our city (and surrounding area) that she's never been. As a very shy woman, she remained quite house bound her whole life - she's always wanted to do certain things but simply didn't have the self esteem to do so. We've gone and watched the geese fly in in the evening at Oak Hammock Marsh (a spectacular marshland sanctuary just outside our city) and caught an amazing sunset; we wandered around the Little Italy area in our city and did some shopping and ate gelati; and on Sunday, we went to the Art Gallery for an incredible Renaissance showing. She has enjoyed these outings immensely and we will continue as long as she is able.
