Nice to see that the rose gold tote is a hit. It is faux leather and had a strong odor to it when it arrived, but I wiped it down with vinegar and aired it out for a couple of days, and the odor disappeared, and it’s been in heavy rotation since. </p> <p>I had quite the search going for a rose gold bag — I even ordered one on Amazon without reading the return policy carefully (which I am usually so careful about!) and discovered it shipped from overseas. When it arrived and wasn’t what I wanted, it would have cost so much to return it that I ended up keeping it instead, and may give it to my niece. It’s wasn't terribly cold and we never felt cooped up — we took good coats and hats and gloves (and an umbrella helps too, since we got rained on but no snow), and did a ton of walking and exploring in Munich, Vienna, Prague, and Budapest. The Christmas markets are so charming and festive, too. I think it’s a great time to visit! Anthro is my summer go-to! </p> <p>BJ1111, the sunglasses were from Vienna at Christmas time — they are a revival of a vintage Robert Laroche design, and I had them fitted with my prescription at home. We have the BEST eyewear finds in Europe! My other true vintage sunglasses came from Amsterdam, and I bought my husband a cool pair of sunglasses in Budapest from a company called Vinylize who makes them from old record album vinyl. If I hadn’t just gotten these silver ones, I would have been tempted to get some vinyl ones too. Really casual, really simple. And on days when I don’t really go anywhere it’s even more lame — old cutoffs and a graphic tee or my workout clothes! </p> <p>But yesterday while I made a return to Anthro, I spotted this skirt, and since I edited a couple of old skirts out of my closet at the beginning of the summer (they were getting pilly and didn’t feel so fab anymore), I decided to try it. Nearby I saw this simple textured sleeveless top, and they looked so good together, I actually bought an outfit, which I almost never do! </p> <p>I was so happy with it, I cut the tags and wore it today. I love a nice easy printed skirt in the summer, especially if I can wear black or white tops with it. </p> <p>The other pics are same shoes and shirt, but with my two basic styles of summer shorts. Pretty much my summer uniform other than the dresses I’ve beem enjoying as well. Adding a hat and a fun bag and slides helps me feel a bit more pulled together. </p>
