If you go in search of CQY, try to buy direct from them. Anthropologie sells at least one of their jeans, but it is much cheaper to buy direct. CQY sells directly to consumers at below retail price and also sometimes has really good sales. I don’t get muffin top - because I don’t carry extra flab that way . I also never wear /wore waistbands tight enough that it would create that effect . All of my extra is in a pooch below my navel - which I need to stop talking about In higher rise jeans , the fly and zip tend to bunch up and and the waist band sits too high to allow for a smooth fit . You can’t see where the waist of the jeans are in this pic as I’ve really loosely tucked the front of the top . Different body types need diff fits . There is zero girdling effect going on here - in fact it’s quite the opposite . You have to hold your camera a little differently. </p> <p><b>Lisa</b>, that's so interesting! YES. We all like different things! Personally, my experiences make me feel differently. I have dressed soooooo many women across all body types and sizes over the 14 years I've had my style consulting biz. I was a ladieswear specialist buyer before that. I have dressed women in low, mid, and high rises, and the higher rise - not too high though.....more of a mid-to-high rise, IYKWIM - is generally girdling, tailored, structured, flattering and chic. It holds you in and smooths the silhouette! Much better than the lower rises that can create "muffin top", lumps and bumps, and leave you exposed for lack of a better way of describing it. My clientele had lots of fit challenges with that lower rise. I'm thankful we don't need to battle with that anymore. </p> <p> Whether you want to expose the higher waistband and belly area by tucking tops is another story. The vertical integrity of the cardi is a good trick. Generally to my eye, the mid-to-high rise is flattering. Anyway, FWIW, I thought I'd explain my point of view.
