Good to know. thanks! I need to explore dark and navy blues. I really don't have anything that color....and there are surely some possibilities!

whidbeygirl, that jacket is a dark blue BR.

Cardiff girl, the animal print slippers are Vionic--had to get them because even though open toe, they are furry and warm.

I love your combination in #6. I can't tell if the jacket is more dark purple or navy. I have a couple of tops in the same color as yours but always looking for just the right color to pair with it.

YAY! Really happy you're on the mend, and could take a shower! It's up and down with pain, isn't it. Resting that ankle is the way to go.

The warm dress with the velvet pants is a fabulous combination. Really cute with the sweater jacket and Easy Spirits. Swish and arty! KILLER :)

High five on wearing corduroy pants again after saying no thank you for decades. Yours are super cute, and so is your longer hair.

Take care, and much love. xo

I’m glad you’re making progress healing! Good score on the Land’s End cords and the dress! They look great on you and seem like they both have lots of styling options.

I love the pic of the irises in front of the Meyer lemon tree. That is a sight one definitely never sees in Michigan. :)

You just can’t keep a good woman down! Smiling at your indoor footwear—leopard, plaid, and who wouldn’t grin at those socks? You look great in the blue and the hat, but I really like the velour /velveteen leggings/pants. I think they can be dressed up or down.

You are looking great and like you again. It is always such a good feeling to be able to wash your hair to freshen up. I really like the cord jeans on you and your holiday socks are so much fun - hopefully you get to wear them again soon.

Thoughts at the end of the day: Kelly, as I looked at the contrast between the near sweatshirt material of the dress and the dressier velveteen I started to wonder if this was a good idea. Maybe more casual leggings would be better. Not like anyone is looking at me! I decided the pants could be worn with a wool or dressier top.

I’d like to find more casual dresses in colors. This has been a year for experimenting.

slim cat, I like the corduroy for comfort. I wonder if the trend will last.

Joy and Shevia, I measured and I have a 4” and a 4 1/2” wide brimmed hats, but they are more for fashion than real sun protection. And they don’t stay on well for gardening. Guess I’ll be doing some hat shopping in spring.

Joy, those are Meyer lemons, a little sweeter than the Eurekas usually sold in stores. It’s a dwarf and I can’t get it to grow upright. Soon I will be offering them to neighbors. Last year I discovered that some critter was eating them. My guess is a rabbit or squirrel. Never happened before, but if they eat petunias and lobelias, why not lemons?

That red iris is so pretty! I've never seen one that color. Great outfits. I especially love the new Uniqlo dress. That's my kind of dress especially with the velveteen leggings. 1 looks super cozy and casual--perfect weekend outfit. Looking fab as usual! Glad you are on the mend!

They say you need a 5 inch brim for true sun protection. I favor wide brims anyway. I especially like your new dress on you. Best wishes healing, and continue your positivity!

Look at that lemon tree and all those lemons! DSIL would have been so impressed. She had to bring hers inside in cold weather and the most she got were 2 lemons. The rust colored iris is an especially pretty color.
If you see a great hat on sale ( from last summer) grab it. There is an Australian company that makes sun hats for when you are in the water, but I forget the name. My favorite consignment store had one last year. They get lots of hats and do a good business with chemo patients and those who need a cowboy hat for a rodeo.
I’m so happy that you are feeling better after your ordeal.

Day 6 following Mohs on the nose and the sprained ankle. Not too bad. I overdid it yesterday--ankle didn't hurt--but today it does so I'm trying to take it easy. Wearing an ankle brace which precludes shoes. I've progressed to the point of being able to have a regular bandage on my nose.

Thanks for all your good wishes and advice on the fall & falling thread. I do appreciate the support fellow Fabbers and Angie give to me.

As far as Joy's question on whether or not I'm going to have to wear a wide-brimmed hat when I go out, I don't yet know. Friday I get the stitches out and I'll know more.

I was able to take a shower and wash my hair today--feel much better now. Look better too.

#1 a new pair of corduroy jeans I bought from Land's End to try out. It's been a couple of decades since I wore corderoy jeans. I had several pairs of Gloria Vanderbilt and I loved them. These seemed a bit big at first, but are great for lying around. I was going to show you a back view, but not today, since I decided to keep them.

##2-3 I bought this warm dress to try out from Uniqlo a few weeks ago but haven't worn it until today. It's comfortable for hanging around. Warm enough and good price. Wish they had more colors though. Black and beige. Worn with Easy Spirit Traveltimes since can't get shoe on. Also bought some velveteen pants from Macy's in dark green and dark blue. I found them in the Leggings section online. I was afraid that they'd be too tight in the waist but they are fine. Worn with J Crew sweater jacket and alone. A scarf would add color, but the collar and the funnel collar are enough for today.

#4 holiday Sox Trots from last year, worn before ankle sprain.

#5 My regular walking hat--probably not wide enough to keep sun off of my face.

#6 for fun, my normal hair back before Covid.

##7-8 some of the irises planted in August, All 6 buds have bloomed, but the last one is just opening. Research tells me they are likely to bloom again next spring.
