Oh hey. Yes. I’m looking for a new brand of no-seam undies. Something not cheaply made. Anyone else notice a lot of them seem to be glued together? And the glue comes undone?

Elizabeth -- I tried the full brief. French cuts are weird for me; sometimes the leg openings are altogether too big and don't stay put. I like the cute vintage-y look of a high waist plus a lower-cut leg. But for that style, I actually prefer the Gap Breathe high-rise undies, which are much cheaper and just cut a little better IMO.

Style Fan -- Definitely take a look at Girlfriend Collective. I find some leggings too gappy in the waist and too restrictive in the legs, just like jeans. And these are neither of those things. Even the calf/ankle fit is comfy and not too tight. And so many pretty colours...

Bijou -- Me too! It's hard to get right. I'm always grumbling how lucky men are not to have to waste brainpower searching for seamless undies. :)

Wow - thank you for the review - finding the perfect "seamfree" undies has been highly elusive for me, so these sound perfect.

Thank you for the review! I have heard a lot about Girlfriend leggings. I might try a pair. The Chantelle undies look interesting. I am a big fan of Chantelle bras.

Thanks for the "undo" review. I ordered a pair of these at NAS to try, but managed to order the bikini by mistake - I intended to order the hipster. I don't do well with bikini, I find they just make me look really weird, where/how they cut my body. So you've made me interested in giving the hipsters another try, fingers crossed they go on sale again! Were the high waisted ones you tried the french cut or the other high waisted style?

kkards, yep, those are the ones!

nemosmom, I'm generally pretty neutral towards leggings. I've always thought even the best ones were just good, not great, so for me to recommend a pair is high praise indeed! I generally don't think body-con is super flattering for my legs, but these somehow look really great.

i think these are the same panties that you linked to...i've been wearing them for a couple of years now, and i was surprised at how well a one size fits most fit...they have become my go to....i think that last year they were on sales during NAS
i've not heard of the girlfriend lite leggings, they sound interesting, will keep that one on my radar
thanks

Thank you for the reviews! I am intrigued and excited about garments made of recycled materials - especially plastics! Big bonus points for lack of obvious branding and seamless styles. I will definitely be adding these to my list to check out.

A couple things I've added this year that I'm pretty impressed with, and thought others might like to know about as well:

Chantelle Soft Stretch undies. I ordered three different styles, the Bikini, the Hipster, and the Full Brief. I read a random review of these designed-in-France undies last year and the praise was glowing enough that I decided I wanted to try them. They are indeed pretty close to invisible even under leggings, jersey dresses, etc. The material is super smooth, thin, and very stretchy. Almost like a high quality opaque stocking but not at all compressive. The most intriguing thing about these is that they are "one size fits all" meaning XS-XL. I take a Small in most underwear styles and have no complaints about the fit. They really do stretch a lot, but I'd be curious to hear from people at the ends of the size range who've tried them. Also, they do offer a "full" line that is supposed to fit size 1X-4X, and can be worn by straight-sized women who prefer fuller coverage. I am intrigued! If I buy more, I'll stick with the hipster cut. The bikini is a bit too low-rise for me, the full brief a bit too high-rise and the leg openings have a tendency to roll up a bit. The hipster is right in the middle of the two, and the leg openings are just right, not too low, not too high. They make bras too, but even the wireless/bralette styles look a bit overbuilt for my preferences, so there will be no matching sets in my future. ;)

Girlfriend Lite Leggings. I love these. I was looking for a lightweight, very fast-drying legging for spring/summer/early fall, and for studio use. These are lightweight but opaque and super flexible. If you like a structured, compressive legging, it's not this one. The material ("Econyl" recycled nylon from fishing nets) is very smooth, and has maybe a little more sheen to it than is cool these days, but whatever. The 23" inseam is perfect for a below the calf/above the ankle fit. The seams are nicely placed, but I also put myself on the waitlist for the seamless version, to use under dresses in cold weather. I also really appreciate that these have ZERO visible branding, unlike Lulu, Athleta, and everyone else. The company donates money to environmental orgs, emphasizes recycled materials (Econyl, RPET, Cupro), and employs diverse models. I'm definitely going to try the original compression fabric, possibly one of their sports bras, and might even succumb to the bike short trend and give those a spin this summer. :D
