Now I get so much more wear out of it year round. Just a thought. To my eye, at least, it is often the sheepish look on someone's face that makes an outfit appear inappropriate, rather than their age per se. I am the same age and I would wear it. I would be sure to wear a good bra under it, and ensure that other elements of the outfit were current and not wildly 'inappropriate', but I would definitely wear that. I would probably wear a teeshirt or sleeveless turtlenecked crop top or something under the dress to add edge and cover skin (if not wearing the jacket).
