It was two weeks ago, so we have already, pumped and vacced up the water, and dehumidified (we bought one, as our HVAC is only about to be fixed today). It’s just waiting to have our destroyed stuff removed and everything cleaned. We have asked if insurance can put pressure on the cleanup folks. They’ve stopped even responding to our requests for a new date estimate, since they blew through the first couple of estimates. I like boho, but in measured doses. What do you all think?</p> <p>In other news… We are recovering from a flooded basement here. It was pretty bad, we lost most of our books, and we are still waiting for flood remediation because demand in this area has been so high since Ida. I was not able to go to Greece since nothing was resolved before our departure date. We are off this week still, to try to relax, but it’s frustrating because we can’t make any plans as we wait for services to come to our home. So it’s not clear if we can even get away for a night or two. </p>
